Python Developer / Django / SQL / Fully Remote / Up to £70,000

Amicus Recruitment are proud to be working with an established tech company that are looking for a Python Developer to join their team.

The business was formed almost 10 years ago and have developed three core products, a crowd funding platform, a charity day platform and an all year-round charity platform. These platforms are used by the education and non-profit sector and have played a huge part in raising money for some excellent causes. They have around 20 people within the business and 5 of those are within the engineering team which have the option to work remotely. They are looking continue the growth of their products and have a long roadmap ahead which they need someone to come in and take ownership of.

This role is very diverse, and you will be responsible for working a range of projects whilst reporting in to the head of development. Firstly, they are currently looking at scaling up their products therefore, there will be an opportunity for a lot of greenfield work as they are implementing new features and functionalities to improve their products. That being said, there will still be an element of support and maintenance of legacy code. Secondly, they are currently building out a microservice architecture and this is something you will be heavily involved with, if you have prior experience building microservices then this would be highly beneficial. As mentioned, the engineering team work remotely, this is not compulsory, but you do have the option to work fully remote. You will need to be a confident engineer with a positive attitude and the desire to want to continue the growth of a tech for good business. If this is you, then please apply!

Skills:

  • 3 years’ experience coding in Python
  • Experience building products and applications in Django
  • Experience with relational databases
  • SQL
  • AWS/DevOps experience would be good
  • Microservices

Package:

On offer is a salary of up to £70,000 along with 30 days annual leave + bank holidays, flexible working hours, healthcare options, standard pension and most importantly the ability to work fully remote.
