Job Description
PMO Lead - Up to £65,000 + Package – Central London
Lead PMO required for a large and well-known organisation with offices in central London. You will report into and work closely with the Head of Portfolios to help manage the Portfolio of Projects and mitigate on Portfolio management issues to ensure smooth running of the Portfolio at all times.
Specific responsibilities of this role: -
Ensure the successful maintenance of the PMOs responsibilities, services and deliverables
Lead and manage the Project Management Office (PMO) day to day activities
Maintain Portfolio control and governance and ensure that it is adhered to
Establish and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders so that they engage and support the delivery of the PMO and wider Portfolio objectives & deliverables
Oversee Portfolio reporting - standardisation of views and reports
Ensure Programmes adhere to Portfolio standards and schedule for reporting
Ensure appropriate Portfolio and Programme controls are in place (risks, issues and dependencies) to organisational standards and support the facilitation regular reviews and updates
Oversee resource management for the Portfolio, ensuring observance of processes to secure the right resources and also identify resource overlap
Line management experience
Strong stakeholder management, able to manage, communicate with and influence stakeholders of varying levels of seniority
A confident self-starter, able to proactively ensure that best practice programme management processes are embedded and adhered to at the Programme level
Maintenance of Programme/Project governance structures and standards
Project management qualification (APMP, Prince 2, P3O)
