Software Engineer / Python / AWS / Docker / £55,000 - £85,000
I am currently working with an exciting Fintech business, founded 4 years ago who are going through their next stage of growth and are looking to hire to several Python Software Engineers over the coming months.
CompanyThe business specialises in improving companies’ financial capabilities through the use of their cutting-edge SaaS analytics platform and the provision of working capital financial solutions. Their complex platform takes real-time analytics to identify; process inefficiencies and provide business insight through use of their software application. They work with large financial services businesses with huge amounts of data to develop forecasting tools for growth, predication and acceleration. Their state of the art invoice financing solution utilises Machine Learning models and trade-related data to make informed credit decisions. The company have ambitious plans and you will work with a fantastic team of talented software engineers who are striving to develop scalable software applications for multiple working capital solutions. The business employ 25 individuals in the business currently with 12 developers spread equally across their data science and backend teams currently. Due to increase customers and client growth they are looking to hire another 5 software engineers by the end of the year as they begin to scale up the business. As a Software engineer, you will work with an extremely bright and talented CTO who has 15 years’ experience worked for market leading financial institutions who truly believes in learning and development.
As a Backend Engineer, you will be expected to work on their data driven application providing solutions to some very complex problems. The position itself sits with the expanding backend team and works closely alongside the data scientists and product professionals. As a start up the opportunity presents a unique multifaceted position where you will work the full development lifecycle including system architecture, design and all areas of product and systems. They have fantastic progression opportunities available over the next 12-18 months as they begin to scale up. You will be expected to have the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of 2 years Python experience
- Experience building & maintaining data pipelines
- Experience of automating systems and pipelines through tools such as airflow, ansible, jenkins etc.
- Experience with cloud technologies (preferably AWS)
- Ideally experience with DevOps tools such as Docker / Kubernetes
