Job Description

Python Engineers / AWS / Kubernetes / £50,000 - £100,000 / 15% annual bonus

Amicus Recruitment are proud to be working on a retained search for a fintech company who are looking to build out two brand-new engineering squad’s within London. They are currently looking for 8 Golang Engineers and 4 Python Engineers across different levels to help build out their cutting-edge API platform.

The company who were founded 4 years ago, currently have 100 staff worldwide and an Engineering team of 30 currently in their technical hub in Asia and are now looking at growing a new Engineering team out of London. They have genuine hiring potential of 100 roles to fill over the next 6 months, with 50 of them being across technology.

Currently, they do not have a Python team and they are starting by hiring three engineers to form a small squad to kickstart their Python work. Work will initially involve a lot of automation of complex processes and automating current data pipelines therefore, you will need to have core Python engineering experience. However, over time, as the business scales, they are looking to do more with Machine Learning and predictive modelling which will enable their treasury team to approve funds ahead of time. Being one of their first Python Engineers you will have a lot of influence on technologies you will use along with taking the lead and ownership over their critical projects. You will want to work with Cloud-native applications working with Kubernetes and monolith architecture which will move to a microservice architecture as the company scales.

Their culture is one of collaboration and transparency where you will be allowed the flexibility to work from home 3-4 days a week within a start-up environment. What is great, whilst they are a start-up, they have already turned a profit and secured two huge round of funding to help there growth, so you will not have the worry of working for a start-up and thinking of job security and short term financial commitments of the client. To be considered for a Senior Python role, you will be expected to have the following skills and experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in core Python Engineering
  • Experience automating complex processes
  • Experience with data pipelining and automating data pipelines
  • Experience in agile environments particularly with TDD
  • Ideally some experience with Kubernetes and AWS
  • Prior use of PostgreSQL databases
  • Experience or a passion for Machine Learning & Predictive Modelling would be beneficial

They have a fantastic benefits package with salaries ranging from £70,000 - £110,000 + 15% bonus, pension, working from home allowance + many more.
