Python Engineer / £55k - £75k / 20% bonus / 10% Pension / 1-2 days remote

An old client of mine are back on the market and are looking for an experienced Python Engineering to join their team of 8.

The company

The company are operating globally and develop an intricate platform in a localised area that enables thousands of companies to exchange data every day on a large scale. Their customers are some of the biggest on the market including the likes of Google, Facebook and BT however they also have a strong customer base of SME’s and start-ups. The business is a not for profit organisation and all their customers have shares within the business. The company pride themselves in looking after their staff which is supported by a flexible working environment and a strong benefits package.

The role

As a Python Engineer you will be expected to show the ability to own and run with projects whilst demonstrating the ability to guide and mentor junior members of the team. You will be heavily involved with the planning designing and architecture of software and will be seeing projects through from start to finish. A strong Python engineering background experience is essential, and knowledge of network and infrastructure protocols would be desirable.

Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years Python (3) experience
  • Experience automated processes
  • Prior experience building CI/CD pipelines
  • Jenkins/Ansible/Tox
  • Strong grasp of relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL/MongoDB preferable)
  • Ability to manage and take the lead on projects
  • Experience managing project lifecycle from beginning to end
  • BSc in Computer Science or similar
  • Knowledge front end stack (Angular) would be advantageous

Package:

A salary between £55,000 - £75,000 is on offer which is accompanied with 25 days holiday, 10% matched pension, 10% - 20% bonus dependant on team and individual performance, healthcare insurance, flexible working and many more.

They are currently working fully remote but will offer 1-2 days working from home after lockdown.
