Python Engineer / FinTech Start Up / Hybrid Working / £65,000

I have recently received a new requirement from an exciting FinTech start up who are currently looking to hire a strong Python Engineer as they look to bring application development in house. Having gone through an initial funding round and received over £500,000 they are looking to publicly launch their app and grow significantly in the next 12 months.

Company

This unique company are looking to redefine the way we lend money. They are currently in pre-Alpha and are going through FCA regulations certification, following this they are looking to publicly launch mid-year with their peer-peer loaning application leading the way. They currently have 3 onsite employees that are backed by an offshore development team, however as they look to grow internal ownership is key for them. Over the next 12 months they are looking to make multiple hires, starting with a strong Backend Engineer who will be a key member of the team for the future.

The Role

As a Backend Engineer you will begin to establish the company’s internal team and will initially be tasked with handling the takeover of various projects from the offshore team. This will involve the development of various systems from, fraud detection to payment processing and will allow you to work on greenfield projects including the development of API’s and microservices. As one of the first member of the internal development team you will be able to take full ownership of some projects whilst still being support by a full offshore team.
