Amicus Recruitment are proud to be working with an early stage start-up in an exciting phase of growth.

The business has just secured a £2.7 million pound investment from two leading venture capital companies and are now looking to almost double in size to scale up their product. They develop a complex system which is very data driven for the logistics industry. They operate across a number of different verticals and they have set out to save their customers as much money as possible by cutting out costs from point of order right through to delivery. Recent figures have shown them to save customers 40% - 50% in logistics costs contributing to an overall saving of 2.5% across businesses annually. They currently have 10 roles that have just gone live and they are looking for you to become a fundamental part of the business.

This Backend Engineer role is a mid – senior level appointment and you will be expected to come in, take ownership of projects and start scaling up the platform from day one. You will manage the entire lifecycle of all projects from design to deployment and every step in between. You will need to have strong experience in Python and Django and will have to be prepared for the challenges of an early stage start-up. You will also need to demonstrate that you have a collaborative approach to work and are willing to listen to others whilst also putting forward your own ideas. Finally, due to the nature of a start up you will need to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills as there will be some interesting challenges along the way.
