Job Description

The Company
A well-established and industry leading Tech business with offices dotted across the globe. After over 10 years continued success with their market leading B2C product, this pioneering business have entered a sparse market and have seen huge growth and success. The new B2B offering has quickly taken off and become a highly coveted tool for businesses across the world. As such, they’re looking to bring on enthusiastic Golang Engineers to help them to continue to scale.

The Role
You will join a ‘family’ of Techies to build out both B2B and B2C platforms. The B2C platform (originally built in PHP) is being refactored in Golang, and with a growth mindset, they’re always scaling and adding new features which are in Go. The newer B2B platform is mostly built out with Golang and React on the frontend.

The team are small and effective, passionate about Software Engineering and passionate about the product. Golang is relatively new to the team so they’re all super excited to be tackling new challenges together. There are currently 5 in Engineering, with a very hands-on CTO and a wider team of around 50 in London.

You’ll be a backend Engineer working with PHP and Go (eventually all Go), and an understanding of the frontend (for occasional tweaks and collaboration).

The Skills
We need:

  • 2 years' Golang Experience
  • Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD
  • Experience with frontend frameworks ideally React, but Vue, Angular and jQuery should be okay too
  • Someone who can work independently with strong coding principles

We’d love:

  • Commercial experience with Golang
  • Commercial experience with React
  • Big data experience
  • DevOps exposure

The Package
A generous package is on offer including free private healthcare, opportunities for European travel, personal growth plans and clear progression route, flexible annual leave purchases (standard increases with years of service), decent pension scheme, free access to tons of consumer products, annual pay reviews and a starting salary of up to £65,000. You can also work remotely from anywhere in the UK with one or two days at most in London per month!

The next steps
Apply, I’ll call you for quick chat to discuss the role, 2 stage interview process with a quick-fire coding Q&A challenge. Start dates available immediate or early next year.
