Job Description

Machine Learning Engineer / Python / AWS / £50,000 - £90,000

I am working with a brand-new business that are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer with strong Python Engineering experience.

Company

The business was founded three years ago and last year secured a healthy amount in their seed round funding to enable them to aggressively scale up over the next 12-18 months. They currently have around 20 people within the business and have live roles across business which highlights there plans to grow. They have developed an innovative product used within the eCommerce sector to help automate the checkout process for customers purchasing products from companies across the globe.

Role

They are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to work within their Data Science team on a number of projects. These include improving the code quality within the team, improving testing processes, productionising models built by Data Scientists, scaling up the product and building API’s. There code is all written in Python and to be considered for this role you will need extensive Python Engineering experience. This is an opportunity for someone that wants to come in, take ownership over some business-critical projects and improve/scale up the projects and the company looks to grow.

Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years’ Python experience
  • Experience with TDD
  • Ability to manage end to end software development lifecycle
  • Experience productionising Python models and tools
  • CI/CD would be good
  • Machine Learning libraries: Keras/TensorFlow/PyTorch would be desirable
  • AWS
  • Other tech like Django, API development and GraphQL would also be useful
  • Computer Science or similar degree
