I have recently began working with a fantastic UK based startup who are currently looking to hire a junior Python Developer to grow into a backend focused full stack role as the company look to publicly deploy towards the backend of the year.
The company were founded 2 years ago and specalise in the development of software to assist with fleet management in micro mobility companies. The foundations of the company were established when they successfully launched their free footfall prediction app which saw huge usage in the retail sector during Covid-19.
The company are backed by various Oxbridge investors and have successfully secured seed funding through multiple angel investors and grants. They have recently began a pilot with two micromobility companies and looking to go into full deployment at the end of the year. Following their public launch, they will be going through series A funding and look to scale their engineering team by at least 2x. Currently they have an onsite team of 7 with 2 Data scientists 2 UX/UI developers, 1 Software Engineer, 1 Data Engineer and the CEO with this position working alongside all members of the team and reporting directly into the CEO.
As a backend developer you will be working along side all other members of the engineering team on a variety of greenfield projects. Whilst the role is primarily backend Python focused you will be joining a small startup so will have the opportunity to work full stack across all projects from Data & Machine learning – Web & API projects.
As a team they pride themselves on all working collaboratively, following the best practices and writing clean code, consequently, you will have the opportunity to learn the new skills whilst still working on backend python / full stack projects.
- Python experience (1 year commercial)
- Strong Software development experience
- Cloud experience desirable (AWS preferred)
- Desire to learn and upskill
The company are offering a great package including full remote working, a basic salary up to £40,000 and significant equity for the right candidate.
