Golang Engineer – Tech for Good – Fully Remote within the UK
This remote first Tech for Good Software business are looking to scale their close-knit Engineering Team as sales are skyrocketing, they are expanding their product to accommodate client demand.

You may be asked to pop into the Central London office from time to time but other than that you will have full flexibility to work from home – anywhere in the UK is fine. You are more than welcome to work onsite more often if you prefer.
You’ll work in a small scrum team as part of a larger Software Engineering function; the scrum team is made up of Backend and Frontend Engineers as well as DevOps Engineers and you’ll be joining to work on the Backend of their platform.
Ideally, you will need to have between 2 - 5 years’ experience as a Software Engineer (using open source languages) and at least 12 months experience using Golang professionally.

- 2 years’ minimum Software Engineering Experience (open source)
- 12 months professional Golang experience, building out Microservices and APIs
- Experience working with gRPC and Linux

The platform is high traffic with lots of transactions, so some experience with Big Data would be fantastic. C++ knowledge would be a big plus point too, although you will be coding purely in Golang.

The salary is dependent on experience in the range of £40,000 - £70,000.
