Job Description

Full Stack Software Developer (South East London/North West Kent) – Up to £50K

You will be joining a profitable market leading organisation who are looking for an experienced Software Developer to build, implement and maintain functional programs. You will work with a small team of Developers and Project/Product Managers throughout the software development life cycle. 

You will need the following technical skills:

  • Front-end web design abilities – strong skills in HTML, CSS & Bootstrap
  • Client-side script technologies – strong skills in JavaScript; ideally fluent, or some experience of Knockout and/or React.js and/or Vue.js
  • Both Microsoft ASP.NET and ASP.NET Core, using C# or VB
  • Relational databases – moderate/strong Microsoft SQL Server skills, some exposure to Postgres & MySQL welcomed
  • Web service consumption – some experience of consuming SOAP, JSON, RESTful services
  • Source/version control (preferably Git)
  • Entity Framework

Experience of the following would be beneficial but not essential:

  • App development in React Native
  • Authentication technologies such as SAML & OAuth
  • IP Telephony/VoIP
  • Appreciation of DPA/GDPR legislation
  • Working in the education/local government sector

Software Developers are expected to:

  • Deliver clean, efficient and tested/bug-free code based on specifications
  • Have a high attention to detail
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Be resourceful with a troubleshooting aptitude
  • Work solo or in a team

In addition to the core role of coding, you will also be required to:

  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
  • Validate software requirements provided by project/product managers/management to confirm their viability
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for reference at the end of projects
  • Contribute to the on-going development of the team’s technical processes

The company is located 30 minutes train journey from London Victoria/45 minutes from London Blackfriars plus 10-15 minutes’ walk to their offices which are located on an out of town retail development. Nearest motorway junctions are M25 J3 or J4 3.5 miles away. Flexible working hours are operated.
