Technical Lead (Data and Machine Learning Platform) – Up to $250K – Flexible Hybrid

Amicus has partnered with a an incredibly exciting and fast-growing Series B Fintech start-up who recently received over $70 million in Series B funding. They are currently looking for a Tech Lead to lead their Data and Machine Learning Platform team.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain and optimize ETL data pipelines – including data transformation, pipeline validation, pipeline monitoring, data cataloguing and, data warehouse management.
  • Build the next-gen fintech ML infrastructure, working with stakeholder teams to improve workflows and encourage company growth through innovation.
  • Define technical roadmap and system architecture, and plan and execute strategies with stakeholders for completing projects on time.
  • Write and promote robust and maintainable code with clear documentation, and propose practices and working patterns with the team, to ensure they can continuously deliver high-quality work.
  • Provide technical guidance through relevant design reviews and evaluation of new technology to support data practices.
  • Mentor and guide engineers.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience working in data architecture, ETL data pipelines, data warehouse modelling.
  • 5+ years of experience working in Fintech.
  • Experience developing in AWS, Airflow (Python), Snowflake (SQL), GitHub (CI/CD)
  • Experience designing, developing and maintaining large-scale and well-documented ETL pipelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, engineering, or related fields.
  • You are located in Seattle, San Francisco or New York and are willing to work on a flexible Hybrid model.
Nice to Haves:
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, e.g. Terraform.
  • Knowledge in building data infrastructure CI/CD and automations.
  • You are familiar with distributed systems and vendor integrations.
  • Experience in a fintech start-up.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base Salary $200,000 - $250,000 + Equity
